Wine. That should really be all that I have to say to get your attention. Now add South Africa. And you should be sold.
Stellenbosch is the Napa of South Africa (well all of Africa, I suppose). Located just 35 miles east of Cape Town, Stellenbosch is one of South Africa’s two main wine growing regions. It’s also home to the Delaire Graff Estate. As in Graff. With two restaurants, a state-of-the-art winery, exclusive Lodges, a destination Spa and two luxury boutiques (this is one of them), the property has helped make Stellenbosch one of the world’s leading wine destinations. For any art lovers out there, the estate has an impressive contemporary art collection, featuring works from some of the country’s most promising artists.
Also, think of all the wine.
(Sidenote from the hotel’s website: For the plebes not utilizing the lodge’s helipad, the drive from Cape Town Airport lasts roughly 40 minutes.)
