SAG Awards 2016 Best Dressed

I enjoy the occasional award show, but I’m really in it for the red carpet. Where else do you get to see lots of beautiful people wearing lots of beautiful gowns? Not many places. So I always looks forward to seeing what the stars choose during award show season. Last night’s Screen Actor’s Guild awards had a pretty clear red, white, and black theme on the red carpet. Here were my favorite looks from the night.

Juliana Margulies in Antonio Berardi

Juliana Margulies in Antonio Berardi. She can do no wrong in my mind.

Anna Faris in Naeem Khan

Anna Faris in Naeem Khan. I loved the color, styling, high slit, everything.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab. She always looks pretty perfect and I would wear anything Elis Saab designed.

Jessica Pare in Kaufman Franco

Jessica Pare in Kaufman Franco. That neckline with the classic hair and makeup is the best.

Tina Fey in Prabal Gurung

Tina Fey in Prabal Gurung. There isn’t anything particularly special about this dress, but I loved the color and though it looked great on her.

Helen Mirren in Jenny Packham

Helen Mirren in Jenny Packham. HOW DOES SHE LOOK LIKE THIS?

Carrie Brownstein in Akris

Carrie Brownstein in Akris. I don’t normally think of the Portlandia actress and Sleater-Kinney singer as a fashion plate, but I loved this look.

Laura Prepon in Carmen Marc Valvo

Laura Prepon in Carmen Marc Valvo. Love the detailing of the bodice and the contrast of her hair against the dress. Two thumbs up.

Laverne Cox in Prabal Gurung

Laverne Cox in Prabal Gurung. This color against her skin and hair is SO good and I love the cape-y detail on the shoulder.

Kiernan Shipka in Edrem

Kiernan Shipka in Edrem. This girl is 16 and is cooler than I will ever be.

Giuliana Rancic in Guari and Nainika

Giuliana Rancic in Guari and Nainika. I’m not usually a huge fan of her red carpet outfits, but love the cut of this one. You can’t go wrong with a good tea-length dress.
