Yes, you read that right. Sex on the Table.
The name, not of a potential coital catastrophe, but of one of the most unique cooking schools in New York. Located in the heart of the East Village, the Sex on the Table Cooking School is run by Michelin starred chef, Juerg Federer, who goes by the name of Chef Fed.
Based on over 100 aphrodisiacs found at any organic store, the menu at Sex on the Table changes monthly, always utilizing the freshest ingredients and those currently in season. During the three hour class, attendees cook (and eat!) a gourmet three course meal. The class I attended, called the Odd Couples class, focuses on combining ingredients you would never think of pairing together (think chocolate and chicken, grapefruit and garlic, you get the gist).
It’s a great experience (would be a great start to a bachelorette party or bridal shower), the food was amazing, and I can’t wait to take another. The Raw Potluck Experience is particularly intriguing…
