I recently got back from a week in Cartagena, Colombia, which I realized was actually the first vacation I’d been on in over 4 years (visits to California to see my parents not included). So a week of no computer and virtually no phone was strange and amazing. We chose Cartagena because we wanted to […]
Major downer alert: Over 1.7 million kids die each year from illnesses that could be prevented simply by washing their hands with soap. That makes me feel like this. But major upper alert! There are wonderful people in the world working to do something about that. One of them is my lovely friend, Mera McGrew, […]
It may be starting to get a bit cooler, but that doesn’t mean I want to give up lighter colors and revert to a wardrobe of all black and grey (just wait until December though). Dusty pinks, light grays, and warm cream hues are my fall favorites, and getting them for cheap makes updating my wardrobe even […]
I hadn’t heard of Co until about a month ago, but after seeing these images from the Co Collection Spring 2017 collection, I can say without hesitation that I’m a fan. The California-based brand launched in 2012 with a collection of knits and fur jackets, but their newest collection features feminine silhouettes, metallic ruffles, and elegant separates. […]
Jenny Packham’s swoon-worthy Spring/Summer 2017 collection was inspired by 31 equally swoon-worthy women. Brigitte Bardot, Dita Von Teese, Frida Kahlo, Iman, and Lauren Bacall were among the diverse muses who influenced the glamorous collection, which features delicate beading, flowing silhouettes, and vibrant pops of color. In a perfect world, this is what I would wear everyday.
I came across these photos from the latest issue of NY Mag and had to share. Photographed by Erik Madigan Heck, the spread features vibrant hues and bold patterns from Marni, Balenciaga, Prada, and more. I’m sort of tempted to get these printed and framed and hang them in a gallery wall. Anyone else?
Located 65 miles southwest of Sicily and 36 miles north of Tunisia, the Italian island of Pantelleria is strongly influenced by both Italian and Arabic culture. The arid island, where Giorgio Armani has spent every summer for the past 40 years, is far from the typical Mediterranean hot spot (read: no clubs, designer shops, or […]
This weekend, the weather in Brooklyn was perfect and since the cherry blossoms are in full bloom at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, it made planning a Saturday afternoon fairly easy. I recently bought a big girl camera and thought this would be the perfect time to try it out. While the cherry blossoms were beautiful, I really […]
I haven’t been on a proper beach vacation in, well, I don’t really remember. Partly because I need SPF 100, a hat, and an umbrella all at once to survive the sun. But I recently purchased a bathing suit (my first in 8 years!) and I’m on the prowl for fun, unique vacation spots. I […]
Dusty pink and grey is one of my favorite color combinations and on a dreary day like today, it seemed like the perfect time to feature a mood board with these hues. That is all. Follow my blog with Bloglovin.
