Ashi Studio Couture

Saudi designer and couturier Mohammed Ashi honed his skills under Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy and Elie Saab before launching his namesake line in 2007. Since then, he has dressed numerous celebrities (including my current girl crush Priyanka Chopra) and become known for his feminine, sculptural works of wearable art. The Spring/Summer 2016 Couture collection from Beirut-based Ashi Studio is, for lack of a better word, dreamy.  According to the lookbook’s opening notes, this collection was inspired by “the story of a princess who, while moving through lands of wonders and waiting for her knight, becomes him, becomes the Warrior. Floral garlands climb high, blooming on her dress, while layers of fabric, frills, and feathers wrap around her as sheaths shielding her.” If this is what a warrior looks like, sign me up.
