Although I’m not getting married in the near future, I’ve always loved looking at wedding magazines. Grace Ormonde, helloooooo? It’s the best. So when I met and became friends with bridal couture designer, Angelo Lambrou, I was pretty excited. Based out of a charming East Village atelier, Angelo was born in Southern Africa to Greek Cypriot parents (read: has the best accent ever). As you can see here, his pieces are truly stunning and are all custom made in his studio. When I stopped by a few days ago, he was hard at work, hand pinning the unbelievable bodice of what will soon be an unbelievable gown.
Ladies, if you’re in New York and some lucky guy (or lady) put a ring on it recently, I highly recommend a stop by Angelo’s atelier located at 96 East 7th Street (near 1st Avenue). Not getting hitched? Don’t worry, Angelo also has a small RTW line you should check out.
